Projects Plus Limited is currently carrying out an analysis of 3 potential areas for land reclamation purposes.The 3 sites which have been identified for this purpose are: Marsaxlokk Harbour, Qalet Marku and Xgħajra (Smart City Area). These 3 sites have been identified for various reasons including for the extension of the shoreline and/or creation of islands. The first phase of this project will include high level of feasibility studies and the formulation of a Project Roadmap from initiation to conclusion and which will identify the project scope, use, milestones and also targets. Phase 2 of this project will include the recognition of the sites and the execution of various studies, including EIA, geotechnical studies, topographical survey, coastal, traffic and seashore engineering studies. Phase 3 will include the formulation of a Masterplan for Identification of scope and uses as well as the public consulation process on the proposed Masterplan.
